ABOUT Me
My name is Samantha, I am an apparel merchandising student based in Seattle with a passion for fashion, design, and trend forecasting. Currently studying at Seattle Pacific University and working as a sales associate at Nordstrom, I am inspired by the ever-changing relationship between style and consumer culture. My interest in fashion combines creativity with market awareness, drawing influence from contemporary trends, personal expression, and the fast-paced world of retail.
Throughout my academic experience, I have built a strong foundation in fashion merchandising, retail buying, visual merchandising, apparel production, and textile knowledge. Over the past two years, I have styled and designed looks for student fashion shows, conducted consumer research on purchasing behavior and market trends, and created a visual merchandising display for Studio RA, a local Seattle boutique. I have also designed merchandise collections and developed technical packs for mock fashion brands, combining creativity with technical and business skills. Alongside my academic experience, working as a sales associate has allowed me to gain hands-on experience in the retail world where I deliver luxury client service, strengthen my visual merchandising skills, and continue developing my understanding of fashion trends, brand aesthetics, and the overall fashion industry.
